Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 4, 2026

At KubeMastery, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data, including certain usage data related to product analytics.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your email address and authentication-related information (for example through magic link or an OAuth provider). We also collect usage and performance data (for example page views, interactions, journey events, browser/device technical information, and diagnostics) to understand how the platform is used. In some cases, we may enable session recordings (session replay) to analyze UX or technical issues. We do not intentionally send sensitive data in analytics events, and users should not submit sensitive data in free-text fields.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use this information to provide and improve the service, personalize your learning experience, track progress, secure your account, communicate with you about your account, and send important service-related updates. Analytics and session replay data are used to measure usage, identify friction points, troubleshoot incidents, and improve the product. Depending on your jurisdiction and processing activity, the legal basis may be your consent or our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the service.

3. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Your data is stored securely and we use encryption to protect sensitive information.

4. Local Storage

We use browser local storage to keep certain session data and preferences (such as theme settings). This data remains on your device. Some account and progress data is also processed server-side to provide authentication and continuity of your learning experience. You can clear local data at any time in your browser settings.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data only with technical service providers necessary to operate the platform (for example authentication, hosting, and infrastructure providers), with your consent, to comply with legal obligations, or to protect our rights and platform security. This includes our product analytics provider PostHog for usage events and, when enabled, session replay. We configure this service for EU data residency when that option is available.

6. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal data. You may also object to certain analytics processing, request restriction of processing, and withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. You can exercise these rights through your account settings or through our contact page. We respond within a reasonable timeframe in line with applicable law.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data while your account is active and for a limited period afterward when required for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Analytics and session replay data are retained for a limited, proportionate period for measurement, security, and product improvement purposes, then deleted or anonymized according to our internal retention policy.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the 'Last updated' date. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
